FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What exactly is the Merchandising Solutions program?
The Merchandising Solutions program is a valuable opportunity for suppliers to demonstrate to their customers the best way for their product to be displayed while in their booth at HDAW. Merchandising Solutions has two elements: the supplier participation opportunity in your booth, the supplier participation opportunity in the rotunda, and an interactive merchandising display in the hallway leading to the Product Expo. Merchandising is becoming an important sales tool in the heavy duty industry, allowing HD distributors to implement marketing strategies through store layout and visual product display opportunities, increasing their bottom lines.

Why should we participate?
Here's the BEST part:  Those companies who choose to participate in this merchandising program will have their booth location marked on the HDAW floor map AND be included on the mobile app.  What a great way to get your company noticed!

What is a planogram?
A planogram is a diagram that indicates the placement of products on shelves in order to maximize sales. Its a visual guide that shows the HD distributor where to put the shelves and peg hooks on a gondola to best display that product.

What is a gondola?
A gondola is a freestanding fixture used to display merchandise. Gondolas typically consist of a flat base and a vertical component featuring pegboards, or slatwalls. The vertical piece can be fitted with shelves or peg hooks.

How do we apply?
First, fill out the Merchandising Solutions Supplier Participation Form. Then, plan to include either a merchandise gondola in your booth set up for this year or provide a 2' x 3' (must be this exact size) color photo on foam core which will be placed on an easel in your booth.  This photo should include a plan-o-gram, photo or gondola set up showing your products on display.

Who can participate?
Any suppliers that are exhibiting at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2016.

Do we have to rent an easel for the 2' x 3' photo we plan to use in the booth to show what our products look like on a gondola? How do we rent one?
If you have your own easel, you are welcome to bring it to display your photo image. If you need to rent one, you can do so through Freeman, and that information can be found in the Exhibitor Service Guide.

What is the cost to participate?
There is no cost to have your information.

When are applications due?
Please have all applications received by January 5, 2016 will be included on the trade show floor map. Any applications received after that date are unable to be included.
