Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week Enters New Era with Expansion to Kansas City and Charlotte
MOKENA, Ill. (Feb. 24, 2026) — Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) announced a multi-year relocation plan designed to give the organizers the ability to expand the elements of the event that provide the most value while preserving the core business programs that define the annual gathering. Following one final year in Grapevine, Texas, in 2027, HDAW will move to Kansas City, Missouri, in 2028 and Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2029, with the event alternating between the two cities in subsequent years.
The relocation marks a strategic evolution for HDAW, which brings together senior leaders across the heavy-duty aftermarket industry for One-on-One Business Meetings, a Product Expo, and education focused on operational and commercial decision-making. As participation has grown, organizers identified an opportunity to partner with new host cities that are home to larger venues, are walkable and accessible, and offer a strong sense of community while continuing to deliver the focused, high-value experience attendees expect.
“HDAW has grown steadily over the years, and this next chapter positions the event to meet the industry where it’s headed, with expanded venues that support greater participation and continued growth,” said Emily Poladian, President, MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers.
“Expanding into new regions also creates additional access for suppliers, strengthens engagement across the country, and supports the scale of conversations the aftermarket is having today,” added Bill Hanvey, President and CEO, Auto Care Association. “It’s really a win-win for the entire industry.”
Before the relocation kicks off, HDAW will return to Grapevine in January 2027 for a milestone year. The final Texas-based event will place added emphasis on the full scope of the HDAW experience, bringing the industry together for a concentrated week of high-value meetings, planning discussions, and relationship-building, while also marking the role Grapevine has played in the event’s growth.
“HDAW has never been about where it’s held,” said Edward Kuo, President, CVSN. “It’s about delivering what matters to this industry. In 2027 and every year after, we’ll stay focused on what makes this event work — giving distributors and suppliers real time, real focus, and real face-to-face conversations that move their businesses forward.”
