About the Award

The Women in Leadership Award is a prestigious accolade designed to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of women leaders within the commercial vehicle aftermarket sector. This award honors women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, innovation and a commitment to advancing the industry through their roles. It highlights their strategic vision, influence and dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.

Criteria

  1. Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, including strategic vision, decision-making and the ability to inspire and guide teams.
  2. Innovation and Impact: Proven track record of driving innovation within the commercial vehicle aftermarket industry, contributing to significant advancements or improvements.
  3. Industry Contribution: Significant contributions to the commercial vehicle aftermarket sector, including successful projects, initiatives or improvements that have advanced the industry.
  4. Advocacy and Mentorship: Active role in mentoring and supporting other women in the industry, promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.

Nomination Process

Eligibility:

  • Nominees must be women who hold or have held a leadership position within the commercial vehicle aftermarket industry.
  • The nominee must have demonstrated significant contributions to the industry and leadership excellence.

Submission of Nominations:

  • Nominations can be submitted by colleagues, industry peers or self-nominations.
  • Please fill out the nomination form available below.

Required Documents:

  • Completed nomination form with detailed information about the nominee’s background and achievements.
  • A statement (500-1000 words) outlining how the nominee meets the award criteria, including examples of leadership, innovation and impact.

Review and Selection:

  1. Been an active and respected presence in the heavy-duty aftermarket for many years.
  2. Demonstrated selfless leadership that has elevated the industry.
  3. Made significant contributions that have advanced the heavy-duty aftermarket.
  4. Earned the respect and recognition of peers across the industry.
  5. The award may be presented posthumously.

Nominations must be submitted by November 11, 2026.

All nominations will be reviewed by a confidential Women in Leadership Selection Committee representing both the supplier and distributor communities. Submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection, and previous nominees may be considered in future years.

Award Announcement:

  • The winner will be announced, by the sponsor, at the HDAW’27 Industry Updates & Awards Session on Wednesday, January 20, 2027.
  • The award includes a trophy or plaque, recognition in industry publications, and an opportunity to speak at the HDAWomen’s reception.

Deadline:

  • Nominations must be submitted by November 11, 2026. Late submissions will not be considered.
